Styx River Art is inspired by Greek Mythology and the beautiful lakes, beaches, and trails in Michigan:)
​I'm an art instructor at numerous locations in and around Southwest Michigan. My students are the best! I enjoy teaching them and inspiring them.
I attended the Oregon College of Arts in Portland and treasured every minute in the metalsmithing room! With a move to the Midwest, I continued art school at Western Michigan University. My art school training includes a BFA in ceramics and jewelry. I've had awesome mentors along the way! My Masters in Art is focused in education technology with online class design.

My passion for photography is my backbone. I teach digital photography online and explore documentary photography for art show exhibitions. Taking photos for local real estate agents is fun, and it's cool to see my photos on tv! My current photos are traveling to Europe:)

My studio is at the Box Factory for the Arts. Here I create ceramics, fire kilns, and teach small group workshops. Would you like to try throwing on the wheel? Would you like to try torching glass and making beads? Email me and we can set up a tour or set up a mini class at the Box Factory!
